We are pleased to announce the launch of the Flower Pilot Program Batch 3. This batch not only provides access to our established Federated Learning & Analytics services but also features our exciting new Flower Intelligence service, an open-source AI platform allowing you to run LLMs locally in your app or remotely in Flower Confidential Remote Compute.
Who Can Apply?
The Flower Pilot Program is a highly selective and competitive program seeking ambitious enterprises, organizations, and institutions with a clear vision for impactful Federated AI solutions. We encourage applications from entities across all sectors, particularly those in data-sensitive industries such as healthcare, finance, automotive, manufacturing, and defense. If you are willing to explore the potential of Federated AI and accelerate your development in the field, then this program is for you.
Why Apply?
The Flower Pilot Program offers a unique opportunity for selected participants to work directly with the Flower core maintainers. If you are accepted in the program, you will receive hands-on engineering support and technical guidance to validate the value of Federated Learning and Flower Intelligence technologies for your specific use cases and help you integrate them into production workflows. Throughout the program, we will work together to define clear outcomes, discuss roadmap, and learn directly from the challenges you have, which will allow us to make Flower better for you and for the entire Flower community.
Pilot Program Aims
The Flower Pilot Program is designed to equip participants with the expertise and support needed to deploy impactful Federated AI solutions. Throughout the entire process, from inception to deployment, the Flower team collaborates closely with partners to ensure alignment with the best practices in Federated AI. In practice, the program aims to help participants to:
-
Gain Access to Cutting-Edge Technology: develop scalable federated learning systems for model training, evaluation and inference, and deploy private & secure inference pipelines locally or remotely via Flower Confidential Remote Compute.
-
Accelerate Development & Integration: expedite the development of practical Federated AI solutions and ensure seamless integration into existing production workflows.
-
Solve Real-World Problems: leverage Federated AI to address real-world challenges where data security and privacy are critical, while still delivering powerful AI capabilities.
-
Generate Tangible Outcomes: create robust, production-ready Federated AI applications and systems, and generate measurable business value and explore new business opportunities.
-
Become Industry Leader: position as a pioneer in the adoption and implementation of Federated AI and contribute to establishing industry standards in the secure & privacy-preserving AI domain.
Successful partnerships enable us to gain valuable insights into different workflows using Federated AI, and refine and enhance the Flower ecosystem.
Success Stories
The Flower Pilot Program, now entering its third year of operation, has demonstrated Flower's platform versatility and scalability in production scenarios. We've enabled collaborations that have pushed the boundaries of federated learning, addressing challenges like scaling deployments to 100 million smartphones – showcasing Flower's robustness – and transforming research simulations into practical healthcare applications with strict data privacy and security constraints.
During our second batch, we forged a strategic partnership with Eye2Gene, enabling the development of a truly global federated application that spanned geographical boundaries, connecting researchers and data across the UK, Germany, Australia, Brazil, Singapore, France, and Japan. Similarly, our collaboration with docport showcased Flower's ability to execute complex federated analytics workloads across a network of more than 30 connected hospitals and clinics in Germany, facilitating collaborative research and improved patient outcomes. Furthermore, the Horizon Europe-funded SYNTHEMA project has emerged as a significant success story, leveraging Flower to deploy a federated environment and manage data from over 2,500 patients, contributing to cutting-edge research in the European healthcare landscape.
How to Apply?
We're looking for ambitious partners, who want to leverage Federated AI and deploy disruptive systems. Our mission is to establish federated learning and local and secure remote AI an industry standard. We welcome applications from organizations that share this vision.
