The future of AI training is federated

At PyCon DE 2025, Dr. Chong Shen Ng will present a tutorial titled The Future of AI Training is Federated, introducing participants to Federated Learning (FL) as an alternative approach to training AI models without centralizing data. The session will cover the basics of FL, real-world examples, and demonstrate how to transition from centralized to federated workflows using the open-source Flower framework. Attendees will learn to configure federated clients, persist client states, evaluate models, standardize experiments, and deploy research code in production settings with Docker.
